Celebrating 10 years of ASU Prep Casa Grande
Ten years ago, ASU Preparatory Academy Casa Grande opened its doors with a bold vision: to bring an innovative, college-preparatory education to students in Casa Grande while creating new opportunities for students from near and far.
When the school welcomed its first class in August 2016, just 50 students in grades 9-12 filled its classrooms on the Grande Sports World campus. Today, ASU Prep Casa Grande serves students in grades 7-12 and has grown into a thriving, multicultural learning community where local students learn alongside peers from around the globe.
A decade of innovation
From the beginning, ASU Prep Casa Grande was designed to do school differently.
Students have benefited from personalized learning, innovative instruction and opportunities to tackle real-world challenges while gaining access to college-level coursework and experiences that prepare them for the future. As a college-preparatory school, ASU Prep Casa Grande also offers students the opportunity to earn Arizona State University college credit while still in high school, helping them get a head start on their higher education journey and careers.
Located on the renowned Grande Sports World campus, the school serves students from the local community alongside student-athletes from Barça Residency Academy USA, FC Barcelona’s first and only youth residency academy in the United States. This unique partnership creates a vibrant multicultural community where students from around the world learn, collaborate and grow together.
A community built on student success
Over the past decade, ASU Prep Casa Grande students have earned impressive scholarship opportunities, completed impactful community projects, pursued college coursework while still in high school and continued their academic and athletic journeys at universities across the country. These accomplishments reflect the school’s commitment to helping every student discover their strengths and pursue their goals.
Students also continue to explore their interests and develop leadership skills through organizations including Student Government, Robotics Club, National Honor Society, Yearbook and Health & Wellness.
