ASU Prep Casa Grande Robotics Team is Heading to Worlds

The robotics team from ASU Prep Casa Grande is heading to the 2018 Vex Robotics World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky April 25 - 28, 2018. This is ASU Prep Casa Grande's second year in existence. Last year, the Robotics Team went to the state competition. This year, they won second place at state and qualified for worlds. There are 12 students on the team and three faculty advisors who are helping our students gear up for the competition.

The team, named Chaos (ASU), is one of 584 high school teams attending Worlds. Our students will come from Casa Grande (population 50,000+) to compete against students from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Bahrain, China, South Korea, Colombia, Mexico, Singapore, Egypt, the United Kingdom, Panama, Ethiopia, and Turkey - just to name a few.

Our "older siblings" will also compete at worlds: the Arizona State University Polytechnic Vex U robotics team also will compete in the Vex U World Championship during the same competition days as our high school team.

If you would like to support our Robotics team, they are in urgent need of donations to help pay for team travel expenses and robot parts for the world competition. Please submit donations via our donation portal by selecting Casa Grande as the high school and "Robotics Championship Fundraiser" as the Item before April 1. Your assistance could make the difference in allowing one of our students to attend due to cost.

We look forward to representing our Sun Devils at the world robotics championship this April! Check out this awesome article featuring the team, written by ASU Now.
