ASU Prep and Felix Commonwealth Virtual School celebrate new home at Lasell University
A new kind of high school experience is taking shape in Massachusetts. Recently featured by Fig City News, Felix Commonwealth Virtual School is celebrating its new home at Lasell University, where students can combine the flexibility of virtual learning with the connection and community of an in-person learning environment.
Bringing flexibility and connection together
Felix Commonwealth Virtual School is designed for students who want more ownership over how they learn. Through a personalized, self-paced online model supported by Massachusetts-certified teachers, students can learn at their own pace while engaging in weekly live instruction and meaningful academic work.
Amy McGrath, ASU Vice President of Educational Outreach and Managing Director of ASU Prep, has been working with the Felix and Lasell University teams to create a learning hub as part of the experience.
Felix students have opportunities to gather in person at Lasell University for collaboration, support and enrichment. The collegiate setting gives students a place to build community while developing skills that prepare them for college and career.
The new Lasell learning hub is an important part of Felix’s vision for a different kind of high school experience, bringing together the flexibility of virtual learning with the relationships and experiences that help students thrive.
As Felix grows, the Lasell location will serve as a model for additional learning hubs throughout Massachusetts.
