With $2.7 million in scholarships, Anthony Ilk has colleges competing to offer him a debt-free degree
Anthony Ilk has 37 colleges competing for his enrollment. En ASU Prep Casa Grande senior has received a mix of full-ride and near-full-ride offers that total $2.7 million.
In addition to his impressive academic performance and 3.98 GPA, colleges recognized Anthony’s dedication to his community.
He’s balanced leadership roles with internships at local nonprofits and also served as a classroom assistant to ASU Prep Casa Grande English teacher and NHS Advisor Drew Sullivan.
“What really makes Anthony different is that he actively looks for ways to grow and help others, rather than just focusing on his own success,” Sullivan said. “He has worked relentlessly to create opportunities for himself and build a better future. He is one of the most exceptional students I have ever had the honor to work with.”
As the Parliamentarian and Treasurer for the National Honor Society, Anthony managed fundraisers for local charities, improved how the organization tracks service hours, mentored newer members and took a leadership role in planning service events.

ASU Prep works with K–12 students to prepare for the academic and financial demands of higher education before they graduate. Our model is designed to help high school students prepárate para la universidad with opportunities to earn concurrent ASU credit at no cost to families. Students also receive expert guidance on how to navigate paying for college. Every senior participates in a year-long Senior Seminar focused on college applications, FAFSA completion and scholarship tracking to help higher education feel more affordable and attainable.
This built-in support is one reason ASU Prep was the only school in Arizona and only one of 26 schools across the country to be named an ACT School of Excellence for its commitment to college access.
