We’ve designed this experience to inspire and challenge you in ways that traditional schools have not.

Revolutionizing how students learn and grow

Personalized, mastery-based learning

Students set goals and learn at their own pace using interactive software, progressing only after mastering current topics. Those ready for more can accelerate, while others receive targeted support. Whenever possible, students choose their own learning paths.

Teachers as guides

With fewer traditional duties like grading and lesson planning, teachers focus on mentoring, tracking progress and leading interactive learning through Wonder Sessions and Seminars. Their role is to inspire curiosity and deeper thinking.

Curriculum aligned with the modern world

STEM disciplines emphasize data literacy and practical skills. Humanities focus on understanding significant movements in history, art and religion. Real-world applications, like financial literacy, are woven throughout the curriculum to prepare students for life beyond school.

Flexible, modern schedules

Students meet for collaborative activities for just a few hours daily, with the flexibility to study independently at their own pace, guided by teachers. A later start time (9 a.m.) aligns with research on student well-being, allowing for better focus and rest.

Fostering a love of learning and resilience

High expectations focus on personal growth over rankings. Students collaborate, develop mindfulness and prioritize physical health. Phones are banned during structured learning, and while extracurriculars are encouraged, résumé-building is not the priority.

90-minute, data-driven group discussions that enhance your verbal communication skills and help you develop nuanced, informed opinions on real-world issues.

Answer big questions like: Should the U.S. lower the voting age? Who should pay for climate change? Are labor unions good for the economy?

The Core

Online courses that allow you to master academic fundamentals at your own pace and on your own schedule.

Master key concepts, including: probability, gene expression and regulation, right triangles and trigonometry

In-Depth Explorations (IDEs)

Multi-week projects that let you dive deep into interdisciplinary topics and showcase your findings creatively.

Take deep dives into: Building a business, the Physics of Superheroes, The Chemistry of Beauty Products

Wonder Sessions

90-minute interactive workshops that ignite your curiosity by unraveling some of the world’s most mysterious phenomena.

Explore complex ideas: How do computers count? How big is the universe really? Why are all world maps wrong?

How scheduling works

At the beginning of the semester, students sign up for synchronous lesson times for Core Content, Seminars and Wonder Sessions. Outside of these required times, students have the flexibility to learn from anywhere.

• Required on-campus time: Students must be on campus at least four days a week for a few hours each day.
• Flexible learning: Students have flex time to choose when and where to complete independent work, leveraging ASU’s campus as desired.
• Dynamic environment: We aim to create a space so engaging and stimulating that students want to be here all the time.
