Arizona’s Family spotlights ASU Prep Polytechnic NASA and Virgin Galactic program that launches learning into outer space
Arizona’s Family (KTVK/KPHO) recently featured ASU Prep Polytechnic STEM Academy in Mesa for kicking off its year-long “Our Year in Orbit” campaign in partnership with NASA and Virgin Galactic.
As part of the program, elementary students will experience hands-on STEM lessons, space-themed family nights, inspiring guest speakers and immersive field trips—all leading up to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak in real time with astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
From learning about space travel and microgravity to collecting satellite data, students will spend the year exploring the future of space exploration.
