The academic focus for students in the primary school program is to provide a rigorous curriculum based on the Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards in the areas of:
Students starting the intermediate school program (grade 6) will expand on the skills of reading, writing, and mathematics while adding an increased focus on science and social studies. In addition, all intermediate students receive:
Comprehensive leadership & character-building program
Students at ASU Prep South Phoenix have opportunities to
use technology to address problems and challenges
work collaboratively on solutions to local and global community issues
and participate in service programs.
Through research projects, students develop an understanding of the broader community and how they can make an impact.
Students at ASU Prep South Phoenix Intermediate School:
Work at their individual developmental levels and learn based on the students’ needs in both math and reading.
Students are also engaged in a variety of authentic project-based challenges that bring learning to life.
Work with experts in the field, university faculty, family and community members to develop solutions to the world’s challenges.
