PBS Arizona highlights ASU Prep Poly STEM robotics team’s World Championship win

Arizona Horizon on Phoenix’s PBS station recently highlighted the ASU Prep Polytechnic all-girls robotics team, who claimed top honors at the CREATE Jr. U.S. Open World Championships!

Two eighth-graders, Alexis Ngo and Tara Yuenyongsgool, along with their coach, Matthew Chicci, discussed their innovative robot “Jonny 20” and their teamwork-driven success at the competition. From weekly practice sessions to building a brand-new robot tailored to the event’s requirements, their dedication and creativity were the core components of their success.

More than 3,000 Valley students explore high-tech careers at ASU Prep event

The Daily Independent recently spotlighted Semiconductor Adventure Day, a conference-style event held at two ASU Prep campuses on May 15.

The interactive event gave more than 3,000 students, spanning grades 7–12, a hands-on introduction to the world of semiconductors, inspiring future career paths in this rapidly growing industry.

Held at ASU Prep Downtown Phoenix and Polytechnic campuses, the event featured virtual reality headsets, expert-led sessions and exciting breakout activities like watching an iPhone teardown by an industry pro.
