ASU Prep Phoenix High School introduces Transformational Teacher Leaders

« Back  |

ASU Prep Phoenix High School is thrilled to announce the launch of our Transformational Teacher Leader (TTL) program—a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower educators to excel both inside and outside the classroom.

This unique role allows teachers to maintain their passion for teaching while stepping into leadership positions, creating a dynamic environment of growth and innovation.

What is a Transformational Teacher Leader?

Transformational Teacher Leaders at ASU Prep personify the school’s mission and values, serving as educational innovators who lead by example. They make data-driven decisions, implement innovative techniques, and promote collaboration within the school. As both teachers and leaders, TTLs inspire peers and drive educational progress.

In this hybrid role, TTLs have the opportunity to remain actively engaged in the classroom while also taking on responsibilities that allow them to influence instructional practices on their campuses. This means that our most dedicated teachers, who thrive on classroom interaction but seek greater responsibility, can have the best of both worlds.

Meet our Transformational Teacher Leaders

Ally Glow

Ms. Glow, an ASU alumna, has taught every level of high school English, including AP Seminar, Gifted Seminar, and ASU’s Poetry in America. She also has significantly contributed to curriculum development, highlighting her dedication and expertise in education.

Her passion for teaching Shakespeare shines through, and she is eager to transition into a leadership role without losing her connection with students. For Glow, the TTL role is a dream come true, offering her the chance to stay “hip with the times” while influencing education on a broader scale.

Agueda Nava

Ms. Nava is an incredibly well-rounded educator, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Bilingual Education and two Master’s degrees from ASU in Middle School STEM and Educational Leadership. As a Fulbright recipient, Nava has developed curriculum and trained teachers in a small town near Barcelona, aligning perfectly with her love for education and travel.

Having grown up near the ASU Prep Phoenix campus, she feels a deep sense of responsibility to give back to her community. As a TTL, Nava is excited to guide both students and teachers, creating a thriving community of learners.

Ginette Rossi

With an undergraduate degree from Seton Hall and a Master’s from ASU, Ms. Rossi is currently pursuing a PhD in English at ASU. She is a seasoned educator with 25 years of experience and serves as an adjunct professor in addition to being a teaching artist with Phonetic Spit, a youth development program. Rossi has been recognized with honors as the 2023 K–12 Inaugural Humanities Teacher of the Year and Catalyst Teacher of the Year.

She believes in the profound impact of emotional connection in education, and looks forward to using the TTL role to create lasting, meaningful experiences for both teachers and students.

A transformative impact on our school community

The ASU Prep Phoenix High School TTL program is an exciting step forward in educational leadership. By embracing this innovative approach, we ensure that our educators can thrive as both teachers and leaders, fostering a vibrant and collaborative school community.
